Democrats Need To Fight, for God’s Sake

This one will be short.

According to all the polling and focus groups I have been doing in recent years, the biggest weakness Democrats have in terms of their brand is thst voters perceive them as weak. What folks want is a party that will fight for them. Really fight.

When we give away one of the few powers we have, when we cave immediately, we are sending the wrong message all the way around.

When we fought with Gingrich and refused to give into his Medicare and Medicaid cuts, Bill Clinton went from 10 points down to Bob Dole to 10 points up overnight.

This decision to give up on the government shut down fight just sucks.
